Poon Hill Trek

Poon Hill Trek is particularly good for people who want to see Nepali culture firsthand. As one of the easier multi-day treks, it allows one to immerse themselves in a romantic journey through rhododendron forests, charming mountain villages, and hot springs! Witness the sun's golden embrace over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from Poon Hill, creating a breathtaking panorama.

Itinerary:

**⮚ Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu / Meet & Greet** 

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the bustling Thamel district. Take some time to explore this vibrant area.

 

**⮚ Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (820 m)** 

We drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a beautiful city known for its lakeside views and mountain backdrop. Enjoy the scenic journey through the hills and valleys of Nepal. 

- **Driving Duration:** 6-7 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540 m)** 

We drive to Nayapul and begin our trek. The trail follows the Modi Khola River to Birethanti and then ascends gradually to Tikhedhunga. 

- **Walking Distance:** 10 km 

- **Duration:** 4-5 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2750 m)** 

We start with a steep climb up to Ulleri, a large Magar village, and continue through lush forests of oak and rhododendron. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. 

- **Walking Distance:** 12 km 

- **Duration:** 6-7 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill (3210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2630 m)** 

We wake up early for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill, where we catch the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After enjoying the stunning views, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then trek through forests and ridges to Tadapani.

- **Duration:** 6-7 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk (1940 m)** 

Today's trek descends through forests of rhododendron and oak to the Gurung village of Ghandruk. The village offers beautiful views of the Annapurna range and a chance to explore local culture. 

- **Walking Distance:** 9 km 

- **Duration:** 3-4 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 7: Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara** 

We descend to Nayapul, passing through terraced fields and small villages. From Nayapul, we drive back to Pokhara. The afternoon is free to explore Pokhara or relax by the lakeside. 

- **Walking Distance:** 10 km 

- **Duration:** 4-5 hours 

- **Driving Duration:** 1.5 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 8: Drive Back to Kathmandu** 

We drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once in Kathmandu, you can relax or explore more of the city. 

- **Driving Duration:** 6-7 hours 

 

**⮚ Day 9: Departure** 

After breakfast, we'll transfer you to the airport for your departure, bidding you farewell until your next adventure in Nepal.
